MJ shocked the league by being the first and only player in ’86-’87 to have at least 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season. Then he turned around and did that again next year.

To this date only 3 players ever did that:

Michael Jordan in ’86-’87 (125 blocks and 236 steals) and ’87-’88 (131 blocks and 259 steals, also lead the league in steals that season)

Hakeem Olajuwon in ’88-’89 (282 blocks and 213 steals)

Scottie Pippen in ’89-’90 (101 blocks and 211 steals)

In ’87 Jordan averaged 2.56 (92 total) steals and 1.42 (51 total) blocks against top 10 ORtg teams.. around 40% from overall production in both categories. In ’88 Jordan averaged 3.13 (122 total) steals and 1.54 (60 total) blocks against top 10 ORtg teams.. very close to 50% from overall production in both categories.

Dwayne Wade was close. Most he ever had was 173 in 79 games, his best season. He did have 106 blocks, so he was pretty close.
